At Pearls by Angela Carol we want our customer to make the most informed decision possible when choosing their pearls. With our customers' education in mind, we grade our pearls on the most commonly used and internationally recognized grading scale - the AAA scale. You may see Tahitian pearls graded on the A-D system at times. This is often referred to as the Tahitian System or the French Polynesian Pearl Grading System and is also the system that is accepted by the French Polynesian government in determining the quality standards for exporting pearls that are cultured there. We have listed each grade in this scale along with the corresponding A-D grade so you can be sure of about the quality of pearl you are purchasing. On this scale, the AAA grade is the highest quality pearl available.

We want you to be absolutely sure of the quality that you are purchasing so we not only give you the overall grade but also break this grade out into its separate elements. This way you will see at a glance the quality of the pearls.
