This is often referred to as the Tahitian System or the French Polynesian Pearl Grading System and is also the system that is accepted by the French Polynesian government in determining the quality standards for exporting pearls that are cultured there. We have listed each grade in this scale along with the corresponding A-D grade so you can be sure of about the quality of pearl you are purchasing. On this scale, the AAA grade is the highest quality pearl available.
